Support available for rural elderly people living in Clonaslee Village and surrounding area. Are you, or someone you know, interested in availing of a free Parish Worker service? The Parish Worker is a free service and offers household support (light housework duties) a couple of mornings/afternoons per week and a social outlet for the elderly. New Public Transport bus service announced last week from TFI Local Link Laois Offaly – Route 823 from Birr to Portlaoise serving Clonaslee Village 5 times a day Monday – Saturday and 4 times on a Sunday and returning from Portlaoise to Birr. This is in addition along with the other Public Transport already available each Tuesday and Friday to Portlaoise and Thursday to Tullamore. These Public Services are excellent to have for rural Ireland as we are all encouraged to use #PublicTransport. Please see timetable attached
